Getting Lost in Santiago: Photo Essay

April 29th, 2015

One of the best things about travelling, especially travelling long term, is that you can afford the time to get lost in the bigger cities.  It’s one of my favourite things to do when travelling, wandering through mazes of streets with no map, no plan and nothing to keep you from going wherever your feet might take you.  So that’s what I did on my first full day back in Santiago, leaving Castillo Surfista hostel in Providencia and heading vaguely towards the center of town, my only plan for the day is at some point getting some delicious indian food at New Horizon I manage and it’s delicious.  At any rate here’s some random photo’s I took of what seems to me to be the most european city in South America.
(There’s another entry for Santiago coming but I’m off to Easter island today and probably won’t have time to post until I get back on the 9th. Don’t worry though I’ll be back with lots of amazing stories to tell.)
